Coral Gables Hospital Appoints Mayor Tomás Regalado to Board of Trustees

– Coral Gables Hospital is proud to welcome City of Miami Mayor Tomás Regalado to its Board of Trustees. As a new member, he is joining a committed group of community and professional leaders who are responsible for preserving the hospital’s mission and ensuring that comprehensive medical services are being delivered in a high quality manner.

“Mayor Regalado has proven his commitment to our community time and time again, and I am confident that we will greatly benefit from his vision, experience and participation,” said Patrick Downes, hospital CEO. “We are fortunate to have such a high caliber of oversight and governance at our hospital that allows us to best serve the healthcare needs of our community.”

As a former broadcast journalist, Mayor Regalado started his political career as a Miami Commissioner in 1996, before being elected mayor in 2009. He has resided in Miami since he was 14 years old.
