Our efforts are ongoing. While we strive to have the website adhere to these guidelines and standards, it is not always possible to do so in all areas of the website. Coral Gables, Fla. (April 25, 2016) – Coral Gables Hospital is proud to receive an “A” Hospital Safety Score from The Leapfrog Group, one of the nation’s leading patient safety advocacy organizations that provides healthcare information to consumers.

Bi-annually, The Leapfrog Group assigns “A,” “B,” “C,” “D” or “F” scores to U.S. hospitals based on their performance in keeping patients safe from preventable medical errors, injuries, accidents and infections. Coral Gables Hospital’s “A” score is part of The Leapfrog Group’s spring 2016 report and can be found in the latest update to the Hospital Safety Score.

“We are proud to achieve the highest rating for the seventh consecutive time,” said Patrick Downes, CEO of Coral Gables Hospital. “This designation demonstrates that we have successfully positioned ourselves as a leading trusted provider of care in our community.”

The Leapfrog Group evaluated and graded more than 2,500 hospitals nationwide. The Hospital Safety Score was compiled under the guidance of the nation’s leading experts in patient safety and is designed to provide the public information that can be used to protect themselves and their families.
